I ran cross country in high school and we would run about 10 miles a day to practice for a 3 mile race. As a runner, you get to a point they call a wall where you feel like you can’t keep going. Every fiber in your body says stop, but you just keep running. Eventually you get past this wall and a new refreshed feeling comes over you, but the only way to get through this wall is to concentrate on something other than your pain. Sound familiar? 2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. FOR WHAT IS SEEN IS TEMPORARY, BUT WHAT IS UNSEEN IS ETERNAL. Just like athletes, we must ignore our “discomforts” in life, for this is only temporary and focus on our eternity with our heavenly Father!

(Sorry for the bold letters, it wouldn't let me underline)Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14312354581691388131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8636046765485147938.post-71315652755595114362010-02-03T07:38:47.367-06:002010-02-03T07:38:47.367-06:00It is soooooo hard to not focus on the visible so ...It is soooooo hard to not focus on the visible so much of the time, isn't it? I quote that scripture of focusing on the unseen quite a bit, but evidently not enough, because I still find myself focusing on the seen! I want to savor the gift God has for me today!!Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04588550483860378274noreply@blogger.com
