In the Heart of Worship

"Stay ever so close to Me... This is the most efficient way to stay on track; also the most enjoyable way... (however,) habit-forming rules provide a false sense of security, lulling the soul in to a comatose condition." (357)
I rather like a bit of routine in my life with its predictable outcome or "sense of security." However, to help my morale and my spirit to soar there's nothing like worship, especially when it's along with others who have great confidence in God. Yes, we need the heart of worship to rule in our hearts to avoid "a false sense of security" that lulls us into a spiritually "comatose condition."
Listen to this video clip of the "Heart of Worship." The message found in the words is priceless. Read along with the music.
This inspired me!

  1. I love that song! I love to worship Him with song! The one line in that video that speaks to me says, "I'll bring you more than a song." This makes me think of what our guest in Sunday School presented to us. Don Bush came and talked about Vision Onward. A ministry that reaches out to the poor right here in Bartlesville! (www.visiononward.org, read the About Us)The one thing that really stuck with me is when Don asked if someone like this came to us for help, would we be prepared to help them? He said to actually help them, they need more than a handout.

"This practice enables them to give Me money, time, and work without yielding up to Me what I desire the most - their hearts."

Desiring to worship in song and action!

  2. Amen, Melissa! Becoming aware of needs locally certainly brings the call to care up-close-and-personal. That's how Jesus did ministry, up-close-and-personal! There are many needs and opportunities to care right in our own backyards! Thanks for sharing about VO.
