Life Lab of Collaboration

"Living in dependence on Me is a glorious adventure...living and working in collaboration with Me... I in you, and you in Me. This is the intimate adventure I offer you." (257)
We are in the midst of saying our more formal earthly farewells to Mom Colaw who graduated from this earthly life to eternal life in heaven on August 27. It causes for some serious ponderings related to the task of living out a daily winsome witness. Mom touched so many in her nearly 93 years of life.
It reminded me of today's passage to live so that "Christ's power may reside in me...in weaknesses, in insults, in catastrophes, in persecutions, and in pressures. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Cor.12:9-10)
Our lives are filled with moments of weakness, painful insults, unforeseen catastrophes, unfair persecutions, and mounting pressures that can overwhelm the best of any saint...but we are only in this Laboratory of Life for a limited amount of time. The secret is to Collaborate with Jesus.
It reminds me of being in a science lab working with a lab partner who knows how to successfully accomplish the lab experiment...and I get credit for all His efficient work!!

  1. “When you depend on me continually, your whole perspective changes” really speaks to me today because this week has been exceptionally busy. Words from a song that came to my mind this morning as I prayed follow:

    One day at a time, Sweet Jesus.
    One day at a time.
    Lord, teach me to pray;
    Just show me the way,
    One day at a time.

    I still have two days to go and I look forward to the “intimate adventure” he has for me!

  2. The scripture John 14:20 stood out for me today. "On that day you will realize that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you." This reminds me of a three strand rope or braid, woven together. The strength of three is so much more that one! "Living and working in collaboration" with God and Jesus will make us stronger than working alone.

    Holding on to my spiritual rope!

  3. I love the braid idea, Melissa...3 cords woven together..then taken into every life adventure. Praying for your "intimate adventure," Amelia.
