God of Abundance

Today's devo (86) speaks of a God of abundance who showers us with blessings and who can be trusted with the details of our lives.
Although we can usually think of some detail of prayer God has not yet answered or some request He has not fulfilled, if we stopped to list all the blessings He HAS supplied...whether we'd asked for them or not...we would be amazed!
I like having an abundant God. I like being an extension of an Abundant God. Doing something in an "abundant" sort of way gives me great JOY!
Wanting to be a wise extension of God's Abundance....dmc

  1. Yes, we do serve an amazing God, who blesses me Abundantly, in more ways that I could ever think to ask for. When Dawn Marie mentioned, “detail of prayer God has not yet answered or request not fulfilled…” it reminded me of a little prayer book my 3-yr old grandson and I read. I’m teaching him that God answers prayers like a traffic light… sometimes He gives us a green light for “yes”, sometimes He gives us a red light for “no”, but many, many times He gives us a yellow light for “wait”. This doesn’t mean that God has not answered our prayers or isn’t going to answer them; it just means that I (we) have to be patient and “wait” on His perfect timing. In teaching my grandson about prayer, he has now memorized the Lord’s Prayer… he says, “let’s play the Lord’s Prayer game.” God does and has blessed me in abundance…a 3-yr old grandson who loves to learn about God.

  2. What an awesome story, Carolynn...thanks for sharing and reminding us of God's "red light, green light" and the waiting "yellow in the middle means be careful when you're little" ...or whatever age or size we may be!! :)
