"Focus on things that are unseen...You must not let your senses dominate your thinking. The curse of this age is overstimulation of the senses, that blocks out awareness of the unseen world... The goal is to become aware of unseen things even as you live out your life in the visible world." (174)
The more I learn about how God created our amazing brains, the more I appreciate biblical Truths. The way we process information coming in from the five sensory receptors sites in the brain is a phenomenal gift, however, it can so dominate, that it may dictate our thinking, unless, we have disciplined our minds to re-think and biblically evaluate a train of thought. When we take the time to weigh in on our reactions and choose, instead, to respond wisely, we are accessing higher level thinking skills. Which, incidentally, tend to produce the Fruit of the Spirit, glorify God and promote peace!
Joe and I are taking the time to gear down and focus on the Unseen Creator Who created some awe-inspiring islands! "Let them give GLORY unto the LORD, and declare HIS PRAISE in the islands!" (Isa. 42:12)
