"Every time you affirm your trust in Me, you put a coin into My treasury. Thus you build up equity... I keep safely in My heart all trust invested in Me, with interest compounded continuously... Store up for yourself treasure in heaven. This practice will keep you in My Peace." (11)
What a concept! Banking our "trust" eternally..."storing up treasure in heaven." Trust has a way of exponentially compounding! We've discovered trusting God in the fundamentals of His Word spills over into the fundamentals of daily life. When we trust Him in our thoughts, time, talents, tithe and all earthly treasures, He exponentially invests Himself back into us.
Have you noticed how trouble also has a way of exponentially compounding!?
Matt. 6:24-34 nails it well. I love this passage because it reminds me that a life devoted to money (or self interest) is filled with anxiety and worry. A life devoted to God (or eternal interest) is filled with peace and provision.
Oh, yes, the storms will come, but our "trust balance will be sufficient to see us through." That's just how trustworthy our God is!
