"Thank me throughout this day for My Presence and My Peace...As you thank Me for My Presence and Peace, you appropriate My richest gifts. (340)
"Therefore, through Him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His name. Don't neglect to do good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices." Hebrews 13:15-16
This passage makes me ponder the "fruit" of our lips. Seed time and harvest reflects the seasons of nature and the situations of our words. Some people find it easy to curse, complain, argue or gossip and the "fruit" of such lips is toxic and bitter. Being thankful and remaining in His Presence and Peace produces a bountiful harvest of blessings.
When thinking about my own conversations I am challenged to produce "fruit that confesses His name." It's quite amazing how fruitful lips tend to lead to fruitful deeds that inspire fruitful lives...and "God is pleased with such sacrifices."
Yes, thanking God can sometimes be a sacrifice, but the harvest pleases and nourishes, for sure!

Sometimes it is hard to be thankful, but when I thank and praise Him at times when it is difficult to do so, my attitude changes greatly!God is so amazing! I missed the opportunity to see my oldest lead a worship song in church because my youngest is sick. I could have been bitter for having to miss that and my old self would have been. However I am thankful that my son was given that opportunity, that my attitude was one of peace and I am thankful for video cameras! :)
