"Focus your entire being on My living Presence... enveloping you in My Love and Peace. I am recreating you into the one I designed you to be... If something troubles you, talk it over with Me... Gently nudge your mind back to Me." (329)
What do we do with troubling thoughts, irritating situations, annoying people and the garden-variety of frustrations that sprout up suddenly during any day? For certain, if we dwell on those distractors, they become dictators... consuming our thought life and stealing away our abundant life.
However, if we "gently nudge" our minds back to Jesus, talking to Him and quickly unloading the frustrations that mess with us, we are able to be overcomers rather than being overcome! Our joy and creative energy for life returns as we refocus and return to Him.
For me, the secret is still in the quick and instant communication that happens between my heart and my Savior. Jude 24 explains it well. "Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless and with great joy!"

The 1 John 3 scripture really stuck out for me today. Many times I have felt unworthy to be serving God. The condemnation has been so strong that I thought I should just quit what I have been doing and just stay home. What good was I doing anyway? Well God will then always show or tell me in some way the good that is being done in His name.
ReplyDeleteDear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.” 1 John 3:18-20
He supplies all our needs!
Melissa, I have battled with those same kinds of feelings. One thing that has helped me push through that is to DO something for someone that will bless them. It's putting the love into "action" and it seems to reactivate my faith and helps me refocus on Jesus. You are far more of a blessing than you realize. Praying you have a super blessed day in Jesus!
