"Spend time with Me for the pure pleasure of being in My company. I can brighten up the dullest of gray days..A mind that is unfocused is vulnerable to "the world, the flesh, and the devil," all of which exert a downward pull on your thoughts. As your thinking processes deteriorate, you become increasingly confused and directionless. The remedy is to refocus your mind and heart on Me, your constant Companion... you go step by step with Me." (250)
When I am focused on the presence of Jesus, I am able to move through my day with a greater sense of His companionship. It makes all the difference!
It reminds me of a synchronized dance between two partners who ebb and flow with rhythmic ease. It's like dancing with Jesus to the rhythms of heaven, delighting the Father, delighting the Son, delighting the soul!
When I get distracted and tempted to dance awhile with the devil...everything feels out-of-synch and I feel totally worn, torn and abused.
The video clip Melissa shared with us yesterday illustrates this in such a powerful way! Watch for the companionship, the distraction and the struggle to refocus! Join the cheers as Jesus defeats "the world, the flesh, and the devil!" Copy & Paste, then watch it for yourself!!

Ah, yes I will be...
Dancing with Jesus Today...dmc
PS - Joe's mom, Mabel Colaw, went to be with Jesus today at 2:50 pm. She has blessed our lives and so many others. What a privilege to have been her daughter-in-love!

I love that video!! What a neat way to show how Jesus defeats the "bad guys" and is there for us!
ReplyDeleteYes..He loves to defeat the enemy for us! Praise Him!
ReplyDeleteDuring the past year I have been impressed by the many times that Scripture refers to celebrations. Psalm 63 says: "I will sing joyful praises and be filled with excitement like a guest at a banquet...I sing happy songs in the shadow of your wings" verses 5-7 CEV.
ReplyDeleteI find that if I keep a positive attitude every day goes better. God knew that from the beginning--long before the "positive thinkers" of today.
