What a Partner!

"Whenever you start to feel afraid, remember that I am holding you by your right hand. Nothing can separate you from My Presence!" (47)
Did you know that whoever sits on your right side, near your right hand, is in the position of partnership with you? You've maybe known that Jesus sits at the right hand of God the Father, in a position of authority. But do you know who's at your right hand? In the position of partnership?
"For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand and say to you: "Do not fear, I will help you." (Is. 41:13)
Your partner is God! Who "accompanies you all the days of your life - and onward into eternity."
Ah, yes, we are....
Partnered well...dmc

  1. I constantly think back to the days that I lived without God and still believe he was always there. I just never knew how to have the relationship with him or even that I could have one with him. Praise God for his protection then and for his partnership now!

  2. I really like Hebrews 2-3 in The Message Bible. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!
“Give yourself fully to the adventure of today.” This reminds me of the times I rode Freewheel, a 500-mile, 6-day bicycling trek from TX, across OK and into KS. Each morning I fully welcomed the adventures that day of riding would bring. I never have any worries or fear because we had a “sag vehicle” driving along with us to take care of any needs we had on the road. Towards the end of a long day when I was tired, hot and weary (any my “bum” achy) I would reflect on the trials of previous rides that I or my friends had overcome and this would renew my energies spurring me on to the finish line.
How MUCH MORE (immeasurable) is Jesus’ presence walking along side me to take care of any needs that I have on my journey! And towards the end of a long day or towards the end of my life’s journey when I am tired and weary, struggling with various trials, all I need to remember is that “long litany of hostility Jesus plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into my soul” spurring me on to this world’s finish line (and my eternal reward).
Thankful that HE is my PARTNER and walks daily by my side!

  3. In my younger years, I dreamed of going on one of those bicycle tours but "never had time". I wonder if they have bicycles in heaven... Anyway, I love your "picture" of giving “...yourself fully to the adventure of today.” In the words of one of my favorite songs sung by George Beverly Shea: "Tenderly He watches over me, every step, every mile of the way."
