I spend lots of time with others who are lamenting over choices made, long ago, that have altered their options for today. What a redeeming promise to know that "The Lord is good to those who wait for Him; to the person who seeks Him. It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." Lamentations 3:25-26
My friend Melissa shared:
I was just talking to a friend about how we so easily jump ahead of God's plan and try to do things on our own when we need to wait quietly for His instructions. My impatience has gotten the best of me many times. I am slowly learning how to live moment by moment and trusting God “to supply what I need when I need it.”Thanks, Melissa! I join you in your "minute by minute" adventure...

Seeking His Face More, Lamenting Less...dmc
Thanks for that reminder Dawn Marie! I certainly am regretting not saving the posts I have previously made on the Jesus Calling blog. It would be fun and interesting to look back and see how I have grown in my relationship with God, but I do know that I have grown. Today I feel sore and tired from all the stretching and shaping that God has been doing in my life, but it sure has been a good healthy workout!
ReplyDeleteWhat a rich a rewarding journey! Thanks for letting us "travel" with you...God is Good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your blog! I gave away my Jesus Calling book so enjoy your posts! Just wanted to add that yes while it is important to "wait on God" I think often times we Christians can also wait too long Trying to hear. I think God wants us to "pick up our mat and walk" knowing that He will guide us along the way. I know I am guilty of waiting to hear from God and turning that into procrastination. Sometimes in decision making, our best guess and trust in Him is warranted! Have a fab day!
