"Come to Me continually. I am meant to be the Center of your consciousness, the Anchor of your soul. Your mind will wander from me...My Spirit within you gives a tug, prompting you to return to Me...return to your true Center in Me." (220)
I love the way the Spirit of God faithfully and tenderly tugs on our hearts. I will sense His tugs in quiet times, in distressing times, in fearful times, in sweet romantic times, in the midst of chaos or in the calm...there He is tugging and coaxing me to travel tighter with Him. To hear the whispers of His heart deep within my own heart.
Praising God for His Tender Tugs Today....dmc

I am hopefully working to make my rope shorter! It is definitely good to get those little tugs.
ReplyDeleteI'll shorten my rope, too, Kay! Good idea!
ReplyDeleteThe old hymn, We Have An Anchor, popped into my mind as I read today’s devo. Check this website, http://homeschoolblogger.com/hymnstudies/623480/ for a stanza by stanza commentary…it deepened my appreciation for His anchor. I’m thankful for Christ’s anchor to my soul that can only be provided by Him. I, too, will be trying to shorten my rope :)
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, I don't believe I have heard the song but I love the words! Thanks for sharing that.
ReplyDeleteI spiritually "grew" up with Ray Boltz song "The Anchor Holds". What great reminders of how steadfast our Savior is!
Shortening my rope of hope! :)
