Antidote for Uncertainty

"Every person on the planet faces gaping jaws of uncertainty. The only antidote to this poisonous threat is drawing closer to Me." (153)
When our sons were little guys they would sometimes need a little extra reassurance in the middle of the night, especially if they'd had a bad dream. It was always quite amazing how quickly they would fall back to sleep just knowing dad or mom was there.
The uncertainties of this world, like bad dreams, eventually dissipate with the antidote of our Heavenly Father's reassuring presence! Resting in His Presence can help to calm and quiet our anxious thoughts, anywhere at anytime!

  1. I love the bad dream analogy! Some things that happen in life can seem like a bad dream(like the devastation of tornados), but knowing Jesus will carry us through gives the reassurance needed to persevere.

Romans 8:37 "We are more than conquerers through him who loved us."

  2. This verse has really been speaking to me lately: "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8-9. So amazed and blessed at how His peace transcends our circumstances, like an anchor that holds a ship fast in a storm, holding me steady.

  3. Amen! It really seems like the "norm" for life is challenging... so claiming promises that empower us also needs to be our daily "norm!" Thanks for sharing the great verses!

  4. Thanks to all for creating this website, and participating. I recently quit using Facebook when I realized that it was a drain of precious time and contains much that is destructive to peace of mind. Now I look forward to coming here each day.
