The Is. 55:9-11 passage, in today's reading, speaks of how God's Word goes out, germinates, sprouts and provides seed and food, accomplishing God's good purposes. When I take God's Word into my life, it can germinate, sprout and ultimately accomplish things that please and glorify God. Good things I would have never dreamed of!
Each day can become another opportunity for me to thank God "in advance for the good that will come out of it all."
Aren't we SO grateful that God is "The Good Boss" who is bigger, stronger and wiser than the enemy!? Only God is able to "make good" on His promise of "a future and a hope." Jer.29:11

Jer. 29:11 This scripture always give me a sense of peace when things are hay wire or don't make sense in my life. Thank you Lord for this promise!
ReplyDeleteI must admit that this one is hard for me. I am always wanting to try to figure out what is happening and why. I want to be able to understand why things are happening, and what I can do to change them:) But, I want to be able to thank God in advance and trust that good will come out of a bad situation.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Kay. I look to Romans 8:28 for that one!
ReplyDeleteAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Great thoughts! Only God can make verses, like you've mentioned, become a comforting reality! In time, hopefully, we will become more and more confident...God can work good out of bad! Still learning! Still hoping! :)
