What a great devotional for today! I woke up with a cough and very little voice, so the scenery of my day has been suddenly modified. My appointments have been canceled and I am at home having a quiet, reflective day. What an unexpected chance to practice seeing how Jesus' "Power and Glory" can be at work in my situation. "Setting the scene for (His) glorious intervention" in the very ordinary daily-ness of life means that I can choose to intentionally focus on His Presence as I cough and recoup. Just knowing that, encourages me! Pray that Jesus strengthens Joe, protecting him and his voice!

ReplyDeleteAs chronicled in Hebrew 11, the God that the people of faith served is the very One we serve. As James 5:17 says, "Elijah was a man just like us." When you pray, your prayers are heard by the same God who answered Moses' prayer for water in the desert, the God who gave Abraham and his barren wife a son, and the God who made the slave Joseph second in power only to Pharaoh.
I LOVE this! It reminds me just how AWESOME God is, not to become discouraged & that there is absolutely NO limit to what God can accomplish!
Amen, Trinidy...what an encouraging truth! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have always been one to like consistency in my life. If anything changed, I would have a bad day or be out of sorts. Having God in my life has made me become more spontaneous. He has a way of changing our plans and being spontaneous helps me go along for the ride with joy!
