It is interesting to me that His Presence will distinguish us from others (yesterday's blog), yet we may not always sense His Presence! Today's devo challenges us to trust that He is with us each moment, whether we sense His Presence or not. Then, the next sentence nails the critical difference, in my life... "A thankful, trusting attitude helps you to see events in your life from My perspective."
Seeing life from His Perspective...that's the Lens for Life I most desire. It refocuses life and clears the fog. "A thankful, trusting attitude!" It's easy for me to remember to be thankful for the big blessings and to trust Him with all the little things. However, it's another thing to be thankful even for the littlest things and to be trusting even in the biggest things. Thankful for what seems to be insignificant and trusting in the midst of significant struggles. To be full of thanks and full of trust - that's a full and rewarding life - the "abundant life" Jesus died for us to live!

Things are so much more clear when I see them through the eyes of God! With the economy the way it is and knowing people that are out of work, I thank him for things I never used to. I have a job, I don't love it. There are days I wish I could walk away and never look back, but finding another probably wouldn't happen at this time. I do know I am thankful to be working, both my husband and I are still working and I thank God for it everyday!

Today's devo really hit me. I think I trust God, but then realize that I am trying to do His job and tacking on a "In Jesus Name". That will not cut it. I am working on trusting Him more and not worrying. And, yes, as the devo says, our lives are NOT dull!
