What a concept! Banking our "trust" eternally..."storing up treasure in heaven." Trust has a way of exponentially compounding! We've discovered trusting God in the fundamentals of His Word spills over into the fundamentals of daily life. When we trust Him in our thoughts, time, talents, tithe and all earthly treasures, He exponentially invests Himself back into us.
Have you noticed how trouble also has a way of exponentially compounding!
Matt. 6:24-34 nails it well...A life devoted to money (self interest) is filled with anxiety and worry. A life devoted to God (eternal interest) is filled with peace and provision. Oh, yes, the storms will come, but our "trust balance will be sufficient to see us through."

ReplyDeleteI like the saying, If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. Before we moved to Bartlesville I struggled with the fact that someone broke into the house and stole my jewelry box. It had all my grandmother's jewelry and my aunt's string of pearls. I remembered this scripture and even though I lost things dear to me, they were just things. They will never be able to take the memories I have of her and the love we shared! Thank you Lord for those blessings!
